Végre megkaptam a választ arra a kérdésre, hogy vajon költöttek-e nálunk a sárgarigók (Oriolus oriolus - golden oriole). Mert ez nem egy akármilyen fészek, hanem egy sárgarigófészek. Nyáron sok tartózkodott ezen a nyárfán, mikor közel mentem hozzájuk, mindig nagy ricsaj fogadott. Emiatt kerestem a fészket a levelek között, de valahogy nem találtam. Aztán megjelentek a fiatal példányok, melyek nem voltak félősek. Ekkor már gyanítottam, hogy valahol ezen a fán lesz a fészek.
I finally got the answer to the question of whether the golden oriole (Oriolus oriolus) laid eggs here. Because it isn't a simply nest, but a golden oriole nest. In summer many orioles stayed on this poplar tree. When I went close to them, big ruckus was heard. Because of this, I was looking for the nest among the leaves, but I couldn't find it. Then the juveniles appeared, they weren't afraid. By then, I have already suspected there would be a nest somewhere on this tree.
Viszont így télen, a levelek hiányának köszönhetően láthatóvá vált a helye. Azt gondoltam, hogy sokkal magasabban lesz majd, de így már érthető a nagyfokú riadalom a részükről. A fészek érdekessége, hogy nem úgy helyezkedik el az ágon, mint a többi madárfajé. A sárgarigó csak a fészek szélét szövi rá az ágakra, a fészek többi része lefelé csüng, így olyan hatást kelt, mintha egy zsák lenne. Látható, hogy nem ágdarabokat használt a fészeképítéshez, hanem fűszálakat. Csodálatos a fészeképítési képessége!

The interesting thing about the nest is that it isn't located on the branch like other bird species. The golden oriole weaves only the edge of the nest onto the branches, the rest of the nest hangs down. This makes it look like a bag. You can see that it didn't use pieces of branches for nest building, but blades of grass. Its nest building ability is amazing!
